Give Me Ten +Tech 50 Work-Based Learning Launches
Give Me TEN + TECH 50 Work-Based Learning Program officially launched on November 1, and the early results speak for themselves. In just the first weeks, five students have already completed 60 hours of hands-on, real-world learning with industry partners including Village at Victory Lakes, Advocate Condell Medical Center, and TJM Carpentry. Even more impressive, an additional five students are scheduled to complete their hours over winter break, demonstrating the strong momentum behind this program. The excitement continues into January, with 15 students already scheduled to begin their work-based learning experiences across high-demand pathways including Automotive Services, Welding/Fabrication, Construction Skills and Management, Culinary Arts, and Firefighting.
Students consistently share how impactful it is to step into professional environments where the pace is faster, expectations are higher, and learning is authentic. These experiences are building confidence, strengthening technical skills, and helping students make informed decisions about their futures.
