No Tricks, Just Careers! — Give Me TEN Celebrates Halloween with a Twist

It’s that time of year again — pumpkins are glowing, costumes are out, and candy bowls are full… but at Give Me TEN, we’re serving up something even sweeter: career opportunities!

While ghosts and goblins might love a good scare, our students are chasing something far more exciting — real-world experience through the Give Me TEN program. In just 10 hours, they can explore a career pathway, meet inspiring mentors, and discover what their future could look like. No tricks here — just hands-on learning that opens doors and builds confidence.

This fall, our partner schools — including Lake County Tech Campus, Harvard High School, Rich Township, Crete-Monee, Bloom, Bloom Trail, Grundy Area Vocational Center, and others — are helping students take their first steps toward meaningful careers.

We’re now looking for business partners who will open their doors to students for a simple 10-hour career experience. Your time can spark a student’s passion, help shape tomorrow’s workforce, and show young people that there’s a place for them in your industry. It’s a small commitment with a big impact — and it costs only your time, not your money!
